Shipstore and A.P. Moller Maersk announced a partnership on September 16 that brings Maersk’s North American ecommerce delivery services into the Shipstore platform. If you ship parcel volume in North America, this gives you another national network to put in front of your rate shopping, executed through the workflow you already run.
What this is
Maersk is now a supported carrier in Shipstore. Shippers who establish a delivery program with Maersk can execute that volume in Shipstore alongside their existing carriers.
That means your logic engine treats Maersk the same way it treats every other carrier in your account. Your business rules decide when Maersk is the right answer for a given order, based on the same criteria you already use: service level, destination, dimensions, cost, delivery commitment, whatever you have configured. Labels generate in Shipstore. Documentation generates in Shipstore. Tracking flows back through the same channels. Your reporting stays in one place.
No second portal. No parallel process for one carrier. No manual step where somebody decides on the floor whether this order goes Maersk.
What this is not
Rates are not piped in automatically, and Maersk delivery is not something you can switch on inside the platform today.
You need your own Maersk account and a negotiated rate program. That is a commercial conversation between you and Maersk, and it works the way every other carrier program works: they look at your volume, your lanes, and your profile, and they price it. Shipstore does not set those rates or resell them.
Where we come in
First, the introduction. If you want to evaluate Maersk, we will connect you to their ecommerce team directly rather than leaving you to find the right person through a contact form.
Second, the platform work. Once your program is in place, we handle the configuration so Maersk shows up in your rate shopping and your rules with everything else. That is the part where Shipstore makes it easy on the shipper, and it is the reason this partnership matters rather than just being another carrier logo.
Who should look at this
Consider it if you move meaningful ecommerce parcel volume in North America and most of that volume sits with one or two carriers. Concentration feels efficient right up until your annual negotiation, at which point the absence of a credible alternative shows up in your rates. A live program with a third national network changes that conversation.
It is probably not a priority right now if your volume skews regional, if your parcel spend is small enough that you would not clear a carrier’s onboarding threshold, or if you are mid contract in a way that makes diversion expensive. We would rather tell you that than book a call.
What to do next
Contact your account manager or reach us at info@shipstore.com. We will spend 30 minutes on your current mix and lanes and tell you whether an introduction is worth making. We’ll coordinate an intro from there.
